Google launches Google Helpouts video chat helpline service

Google has launched a website for
"Google Helpouts" a new person-to-person video chat helpline service Anyone can sign up to
receive or provide help, and advisers can make money of it.

The service isn't live yet but a information related to the service can be acquired from the support site.

The service is open to everyone and the user can enter their skills, availability, qualifications, and pricing, and Google will
match you with people in need of your assistance.
The user can even include an
introductory video of the services they'll be providing.
Once set up, customers
can schedule a video chat session during your available hours, the service requires a Google+
account.

Payments will be handled by
Google Wallet,a fee of 20% will be applied for paid Helpouts.
There is also a 100% Money Back Guarantee if the user isn't satisfied with outcome of service.

Helpout will work both on computer
or mobile device.

Google Android Device Manager now available for most android devices

It's been a week since Google introduced Android Device Manager for letting android users tracking Location of their Android Device have misplaced or lost it from the web , it allow the users to Wipe their phone data incase they don't want the theif to access their data, it also allow to ring the device in full volume overriding their any silent or vibrate setting incase it has been misplaced.

For this feature to function you need change the settings on your Android Device by enabling location services and opting to Android Device Manager option in the Security settings.
It is available for device running Android version 2.1 or above.
It seems to be available in settings once the play store is updated.

As far as the remote wipe feature is concerned you just need to use 'Erase Device' option and then you will be given a warning and after you confirm it your device will shut down and reboot into recovery and
preform a factory reset.

Note: You won't be able to track the device once you use this option since you will be not be signed to google services anymore.

Although the feature is promising it can be result in unwanted loss of data if someone gets control of your google account linked with your android smartphone so make sure not to share your password with others and enable the two way authentication on your google account.

New Delhi to be the first Free WiFi enabled railway station in India

New Delhi railway station is all set to be the first Wi-Fi enabled station in India, free WiFi will be accessible to passengers on all 16 platforms of the station.

The system is expected to be
operational in about 3 to 4 months it will cost around Rs 80 lakh and a Mumbai based company is being given the task to make the station WiFi enabled.

New Delhi railway station handles about 300 trains and approx five lakh passengers a day.

Railways has already made Howrah Rajdhani trains Wi-Fi enabled.

They are also mounting Tablets on walls at certain places in the station to benefit the passengers.
The tablets will be equipped to disseminate information about the train position, expected arrival time and other relevant data required by the passenger.

Handwriting translation comes to web version of Google Translate

Google Translate gets a new feature : Handwriting translation, it was available to android users for about 2 years has finally come to the website version.

The feature currently supports 45 languages,including the Asian languages.

Each time you draw a line on the whiteboard, Google’s algorithm suggests the character it thinks you’re most likely attempting to draw.

Often you only have to draw half of a
symbol to see it suggested, and a single click will add it to your message for translation.

Although the smartphone app is more handy compared to the web version since it gives quick access it still is a welcome change.

A new Cricket Game is coming

It has been more than 4 years since a Cricket video game has been released, the last being
International Cricket 2010 which was released by Codemasters for XBox 360 and PS3 and it wasn't
released for PC, for PC it was Ashes Cricket 2009 which didn't sale well.
Now two new Cricket Games are about to be released Ashes Cricket 2013 developed by Trickstar Games and published by 505 games and we have Big Ant Studios' Cricket 14.

Cricket 14 features a dynamic lighting where the sun incrementally moves, shadows.dynamically change and has cloud effects, Stamina, fatigue, injuries, form, previous innings will also play a influential part in game progress,
it will also allow to coach/manage a team.

Cricket 14 is the first cricket game with a full career mode , a built in player creator and the first with
the ability to save games in progress online, it also has DRS.
It will be available for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, the
release date hasn't been announced but it is
expected later this year.

By going by the word its seem to be a really good
game, being a Cricket fan myself i will be eagerly waiting for it.

Google launches Apple's Game Center competitor

Google launched Apple's Game Center competitor Google Play Games, it offers a list of recommended games
based on what's featured and what's popular
among you and your social circles.

Play Games is free from the Google Play store
and, once downloaded, you will find a game
controller icon on your device.

Google Play Games allows you to compare scores
with friends connected through Google+ and
public leaderboards.

Asphalt 8 Airborne, Riptide GP2
and Prince of Persia The Shadow and the Flame
are among the first few games which will offer full support for Play Games.
