Handwriting translation comes to web version of Google Translate

Google Translate gets a new feature : Handwriting translation, it was available to android users for about 2 years has finally come to the website version.

The feature currently supports 45 languages, including the Asian languages.

Each time you draw a line on the whiteboard, Google’s algorithm suggests the character it thinks you’re most likely attempting to draw.

Often you only have to draw half of a
symbol to see it suggested, and a single click will add it to your message for translation.

Although the smartphone app is more handy compared to the web version since it gives quick access it still is a welcome change.
